With a view to focus on packaging conversion, packaging and latest systems technology update, IPMMI in association with IFCA will organise a two days conference in Mumbai from November 7 to 8. This conference will be in synchronisation with the three days international exhibition on packaging called International PackTech Exhibition organised by Messe Dusseldorf India  and Germany with the active support of IPMMI & IFCA.from November 6 to 8.

The conference plans to highlight recent technology update on packaging conversion and packaging systems also covering product packaging  and package handling, package coding as per the global mandate and environmental aspects. The presentations will be by experts both from overseas and India with deliberations on important topics like technology developments in product packaging through form fill seal system; fully automated bagging technology- general and product specific. Focus will also be given on products that give higher productivity at lesser costs for printing, lamination and slitting.

Their will be special discussion on improving ink, coating adhesion to films and labels and sleeves; use of slip sheet for facilitating better storage and handling systems and use of re cyclates; solutions for beverage packaging-technology of closure systems etc. Experts will be giving information on recent developments in flexible packaging, folding board cartons for food , beverage and liquor sector and packaging waste management  ie on recycling technology for useable products.

Some of the other highlights of the events are detailed discussion on instrumental techniques  ie in gas packed food (MAP) and permeability, tube packaging trends and possibilities for FMCG; bar code on packaging and current global mandate etc.
